Meet Victoria Waters, Huntsville Divorce Lawyer Family Law Attorney

Victoria Waters is an attorney with Leigh Daniel Family Law in Huntsville, Alabama. She handles legal issues involving separation, divorce, child custody, and the modification of child support and child custody agreements.

Victoria says the most satisfying aspect of being a divorce lawyer is being able to help others out of the darkest and most difficult days of their lives.

Victoria also is certified by the state of Alabama as a Guardian ad Litem and serves, when appointed by the court, as an advocate on behalf of children and other wards who are unable to understand what is in their own best interests.

“Children often draw the short of end of the stick and are placed in situations they did not ask to be in,” he says. “Part of my job is to advocate for the betterment of the child. The most rewarding experience is making a positive impact on the life of a child.

About Victoria Waters

Victoria grew up in the town of Decatur in North Alabama. From an early age, she knew she was destined to be an attorney.  A mom who is a family law and juvenile judge, and several other family members served as a role and further inspired her. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing.

She graduated from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. She was a member of the Trial Advocacy Negotiations Team while at Cumberland.

After graduation from law school, she returned to North Alabama to practice family law. She is a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Section of the Bar Association.

When not practicing law, Victoria enjoys spending time with friends, reading, traveling, and following Alabama Crimson Tide football.

When not practicing law, Jamerson enjoys spending time with his wife, who is expecting their first child later this year, travelling, and following Alabama Crimson Tide football. Anne-Marie Lacy, with experience as a Prosecutor and City Attorney, has practiced in the Alabama State Bar since 1994. Now at Leigh Daniel Family Law, she focuses on divorce, paternity, custody, and support cases. A summa cum laude graduate from Samford University and Cumberland School of Law, Anne-Marie has lived in North Alabama since 1996, initially as Madison’s first full-time Prosecutor. She is active in the Family Law and Criminal Law Sections of the State Bar and prioritizes trust and transparency in her client relationships.

Attorney and mediator Christine Dodd, licensed in Idaho, California, and Alabama since 2013, specializes in mediation with a focus on efficient and stress-reducing dispute resolution. Educated with a JD from The University of Idaho College of Law and a BFA from Boise State University, she has diverse experience, including founding Dodd Mediation, Idaho Media Corporation, and Art Patron Magazine. Currently at Leigh Daniel Law, her background spans law, fine arts, architecture, and construction, equipping her to handle complex projects and lead diverse teams. Dodd also actively engages in community service and maintains professional affiliations.
